In my column, I reference a study that was released a few months ago by the CD Howe Institute a couple times. The study was released as a “shadow budget” just before the original federal budget was introduced in March. The whole thing can be found here, and is worth looking over, as it provides lots of interesting numbers and a number of important ideas for reducing government expenditures in Canada and bringing an end to deficits sooner rather than later.
