Dang, the rural people keep on proving the demographers wrong. Rural towns are not drying up an blowing away. What went wrong with all of their computer models?
I wonder if these young people did not learn anything in their university education?
The lesson is one we are hearing over and again from rural communities: People will move back to small towns because they are good places to live. When young people start moving home, the economy follows.
Richard Florida can take his theories about people wanting to live in condos in the city and stuff it! Their forecasts about demographics are not even as reliable about the IPCC forecasts on global warming. In both cases, their theories should not be used as a basis to formulate public policy.
