Day 14 – Advent is the season of preparing for Christmas. Here at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy we want to tell you about some of the things we would like to see under our tree.

 

On Day 14 we wish Ottawa and all provincial capitals would dramatically improve the performance of their civil services by implementing the three principles of high performance government in the civil service: transparency (better accounting systems that measures costs), neutrality (allowing intelligent make or buy decisions) and separation (getting politicians to operate like a high-level board of directors and not become involved in day to day operations of services).
