Canadians learned this week that federal government spending continues to grow at record high levels.   Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is on track to record the five highest levels of per-person spending (2018 to 2022) in Canadian history.

Should every jurisdiction in Canada including the Federal government and province adopt a balanced budget law modeled on Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights legislation? Known as TABOR it limits spending increases to population plus economic growth. Absent voter approval, it requires excess revenue to be refunded to taxpayers.
