Canada’s Supreme Court declined to hear the case

Yesterday, on the eve of the Easter long weekend, Canada’s Supreme Court declined to hear the case of Dr. Brian Day which involved a legal challenge against legislation in British Columbia that restricts patients’ access to private health care.   Canada’s healthcare system, which enjoys a public monopoly, is notorious for its high costs and long delays, and continues to rank low in international comparisons of effectiveness.
