Leaders on the Frontier: A Vision for Canada

RBC Convention Centre – Friday, January 13th, 2023 – 12:00 PM

As Canada begins 2023, our nation remains one of the most prosperous in the world. Canada is endowed with unmatched geography, resources and people. Yet, our nation faces many profound and urgent policy choices that will determine whether Canada’s future stays bright.

Our challenges are international and domestic, far reaching and many: whether it is the massive expansion of the federal government ,trade, record deficits and high inflation, regulatory red tape, energy and social challenges and even the Communist Party of China. Moreover, Canada also faces a crisis in confidence in a variety of our civic democratic institutions including the media and political leadership.

Fundamentally, these policy choices will continue to shape whether our society will emphasize a vision which chooses one of two paths: individual rights, responsibilities and freedoms or the continued expansion and increasing powers of the state.

In this turbulent context, public policy has never mattered more to Canadians, their opportunities and their quality of life.

As we proceed through the 21st century, specifically what are those public policy choices? Will Canada face a steady decline, or can it keep its promise as one of the world’s most prosperous societies characterized by a quality of life based on freedom and opportunity for all Canadians?

Be sure to join the Frontier Centre for Public Policy for this timely discussion with the Leader of the Opposition of Canada as we examine and discuss these challenges which our nation faces.

Our Guest: The Leader of the Opposition – The Honourable Pierre Poilievre
