Maude on Water

I hope Maude will add all farmers like me in the call for universal access to safe drinking water and affordable water supply systems.

Maude is on her soap box again.

This time she wants Canada to make safe drinking water and sanitation a human right in Canada.

Out here on the farm, I too work under a boil water advisory after the excessive rain this year.  Our water is not fit for human consumption and we have to purchase our drinking water from town. In addition, I have to pay the cost of supplying equipment to pump water from the ground and handle sewage water.  Last year, that cost me over $1,500.

I hope Maude will add all farmers like me in the call for universal access to safe drinking water and affordable water supply systems.  After all, according to her, it is my human right to have that supplied to me at no cost by the government.
