Students Against Mandates: Response to Manning’s “Report of the COVID Commission”

Over the last two years, Canadians have been told to “trust the science” without raising a question. Despite reasonable concerns, the evidence from Pfizer’s and Moderna’s randomized controlled trials (RCT) showed that for every 103 deaths in the “vaccinated” group there were 100 deaths in the “unvaccinated” group.1 The claim that the vaccine is 95 percent effective is based on PCR results and not on the severity of the disease or the death of the patient.1 This evidence does not even take into consideration Pfizer’s RCT results that now has a legal challenge of fraud which may indicate that these results of the RCT studies are false.2,3

But according to the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) after three months the effectiveness of the vaccination drops to zero against omicron.4 Without getting into the concern that the lipid nanoparticles travel to various organs, such as the ovaries, heart, and spleen,5 or that over the last two years more deaths were associated with these “vaccines” than with the all other vaccines combined since data collection began in 1990.6 Equally problematic is that the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) was not going to release Pfizer’s safety data for another 75 years. Thank goodness, a court ordered the company to release the data as soon as possible.7

Preston Manning is now beginning to ask questions about the Canadians government’s COVID mandate. In his fictional report supposedly published on June 5, 2023, titled “Report of the COVID commission- June 5 2023,” Mr. Manning describes the dramatic evolution in public opinion of Canadians from following health care edicts, when the pandemic first began, to demanding an investigation into the federal government’s mismanagement of the health care crisis by the middle of 2022.

Mr. Manning admits that he is in a high-risk population (80 y/o with lung disease), and he followed all health directions including taking three Pfizer shots, but he still got COVID. As a consequence, he realizes the limitations of the COVID policies. In his report, Mr. Manning describes the change in the public’s opinion beginning with the use of the Emergency Measures Act during the “Freedom Convoy”.

In Mr. Manning’s opinion, the public believed that the simplest and most effective approach was to end the vaccination mandate much sooner rather than creating divisions in the population by slandering Canadian truckers as “racist,” and “misogynist,” and using tactical squads to trample their rights while freezing their bank accounts. In Manning’s account, the Freedom Convoy morphs into a Common Sense Coalition who asks a number of important questions:

  • Why do we have a vaccination mandate when triple boosted Canadians, like Mr. Manning, can catch and spread the virus?
  • Why must people wear mask while walking to a table in a restaurant, but they are safe when eating?
  • Why is natural immunity demonized when recent evidence suggests that is the most effective vaccination against the disease?

In Manning’s depiction, the COVID Commission is asked to answer 16 key questions regarding the Canadian government’s mismanagement of the pandemic. Here are a few that I found particularly intriguing:

  • Why was the focus not on protecting the most vulnerable Canadians rather than the entire population? It was clear early on that COVID was extremely age and co-morbidity dependent.
  • Why was there no clear distinction between deaths from COVID versus deaths with COVID? Remember the young woman in Alberta who actually died of brain cancer, but because she had a positive swab she was classified as dying from COVID. The response from the chief Alberta public health officer was to say that young people can die of COVID just as elderly people can.
  • Why were the rights of Canadians, which are guaranteed by the Constitution, so quickly discounted? Likewise, why were no lawyers willing to represent students who were forbidden from taking online courses at the University of Manitoba, despite being in the complete safety of their own homes?
  • Why were people who chose not to be injected with this experimental vaccine not protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms?
  • Why did the government not create an evaluation committee to investigate whether or not the lockdowns and other polices caused substantial collateral damage? Why were these policies not subject to debate?8

In my opinion, Mr. Manning’s report is both brilliant and prophetic. Clearly, public opinion is rapidly changing on the government’s COVID mandate. As Mr. Manning points out, the Trudeau government is scrambling in an attempt to change the narrative away from their mismanagement. Both Mr. Manning and I believe that a comprehensive investigation is needed into the Canadian Federal government’s COVID polices. Lives were ruined because family members lost jobs. Students lost access to educational programs. Childhood development was stunted. Massive inflation and an economic crisis was created, and Canada may be going into a looming food shortage resulting from the shutdown. Suicide increased, mental health skyrocketed, and alcohol and drug abuse became endemic.

Dare I say, an unknown number of Canadians have been and will continue to be injured by this mandate.

All for what?

So, everyone, like triple injected Mr. Manning, could travel by airline but still get and transmit the COVID virus anyway?

Preston Manning argues that regardless of their political views, it is necessary for Canadians to have a comprehensive and fair inquiry into the federal government’s response to the COVID pandemic. In the conclusion to his fictional report, Mr. Manning asks readers to get involved by writing to MPs and MLAs.

But before you do that, you must read this report for yourself.
