“Fair?”

Is penny pinching resource royalties the ultimate in entitlement mentality, and where does it lead us?

Bill Doyle of Potash Corp says that the people of Saskatchewan get a fair share of Potash royalties. So, what is the “fair” share accruing to the feat of being born within an arbitrary rectangle on a map? What is a fair premium to pay for the same resources if you weren’t born there?

Incidentally, resource wealth is one of the only “goods” that doesn’t correlate with GDP.
