While walking to the barn today, it was a bit of a challenge to push through the 3 foot snow drifts along the way.  This year I am glad that I did not follow the experts who suggested a few years ago that farmers in Manitoba should start to plan on encountering longer growing seasons.

nearly all of Manitoba’s farms could see a two crop  season  in 30 years .

This year I doubt I will begin seeding before May 15 and I will be happy if we get even one crop off the fields.
