Is innovation about creativity, talent, skills or technology development.

This BBC article is an interested read on  the subject.

I believe that increased rates of innovation are linked to the integration of all 4 factors.  Technology development can create a fertile field to sow a new innovative idea, but it will only grow weeds unless there is a farmer there to produce a crop, a shipper around to get it to market, and a creative person to figure out how the new crop satisfies and unfulfilled need.
