Phonebusters has issued an alert about a telephone – computer scam that is taking place. At our place, we have received at least 5 calls even though we are registered on the “do not call” list.
One thing I would like to see adopted is a change to strengthen the penalties for organizations that ignore the do not call list. In particular, I would like to see a system created where the customer can launch a complaint and receive compensation of at least $10,000 for each call that breaks the do-not-call rules.
